Job Description

- Coordinate with the Maintenance Division Manager to plan and manage the daily loading and unloading of trucks and trailers (morning and end of day). - Perform routine lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming/edging, blowing clippings, site clean-up, watering, fertilizing, and other turf care duties. - Complete garden bed maintenance as required, including weeding, pruning, deadheading, and general tidy-up. - Assist with landscape installations by moving and placing soil, mulch, and plant material. - Safely operate and maintain power equipment including (but not limited to): mowers (push/ride-on), line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and chainsaws. - Lead and supervise crew members to ensure safety, quality workmanship, and productivity standards are met. - Identify job site hazards and communicate any concerns to the Maintenance Manager. - Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality results and minimize return visits or re-work. - Ensuring proper job methods and safe work practices are being used on site. - Complete incident and equipment reports when required. - Refuel trucks/ Machines at the end of each day and ensure vehicles are ready for the next shift. - Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment. - Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas. - Support additional duties as needed, including shop/yard tasks, equipment upkeep, and construction projects. - Complete and submit required daily paperwork (time sheets, service records, and job documentation). -Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. - Communicate professionally and courteously with customers at all times.

Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, Clean Driving Record, Primary access to a vehicle
Minimum valid Ontario driver’s licence: G2 or higher (clean driving record considered an asset) Trailer towing experience (utility and/or landscape trailers) or willing to learn Comfortable driving/parking pickup trucks with trailers in residential and commercial areas Experience operating landscape equipment (or willing to learn), including: - Push/ride-on mowers - Line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers - Basic hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners, etc.) General knowledge of landscape maintenance (or willing to learn): - Mowing patterns, trimming/edging, clean-ups - Weeding, pruning, garden bed maintenance - Mulch/soil installs and basic planting Strong understanding of jobsite safety and proper equipment use (training provided as needed) Ability to work outdoors in all weather and perform physical work (lifting, bending, walking) Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a crew Good communication skills and respectful customer service attitude Ability to follow instructions, stay organized, and maintain a clean truck/trailer/work area Leadership/crew lead experience (asset, if applicable)

$21 to $25/hour
