Job Description

Here we grow again! Courtland Landscape & Grounds is currently looking for a proven team leader at our London location who holds professional infield experience in garden maintenance, enhancements and soft scape builds. The proven team leader will be responsible for providing training, guidance and support to crew members, along with ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policy / procedures. This position is a full time permanent role with hours through spring/summer/fall of 35 to 50+ hours a week and minimum of 60/hrs bi-weekly guaranteed during the winter months. Major Responsibilities: Lead and train crew members. Complete softscape installation of outdoor gardens, from initial layouts through to final completion. Prepare soil; plant bulbs, plants and seeds Dig, cut and transplant trees, shrubs, flowers and plants Plant bushes, shrubs, trees, flowers and plants Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches Maintain landscape environments by pruning, mulching, weeding, edging, trimming, fertilizing and watering Follow and enforce all company policy and procedures, Health & Safety regulations including wearing appropriate PPE. Responsible for maintaining accurate time and job records on LMN. Responsible for operating company truck and trailer.

Qualifications

Education:
High School Diploma,, Apprentice Level I/II,, College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,, Postgraduate Education,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, Clean Driving Record
Qualified Candidate must hold: Minimum 3 to 5 years professional infield garden maintenance, enhancement and softscape build experience. Leadership 3+ years. Strong organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail. Proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Plant knowledge and identification. Horticulture degree is an asset. First Aid & CPR is an asset. Chainsaw Certification is an asset. Snow removal experience is an asset. Truck & trailer experience is required. G License and clean driver’s abstract is required.

$25.00 to $34.00/hour
