Here we grow again!! Courtland Landscape & Grounds is recognized as an award-winning design-build and property maintenance firm with locations in Tillsonburg, London and Woodstock. We are currently looking for a proven team leader to join our Landscape Construction team in Tillsonburg, ON. This position is a full time permanent role with hours through spring/summer/fall of 35 to 50+ hours a week and minimum of 60/hrs bi-weekly guaranteed during the winter months. Reporting to the Landscape Construction & Logistics Manager, the 2nd Lead Hand plays a key role in working along side the Crew Lead in supervising, organizing and executing landscape construction projects. The qualified candidate must hold expert-level technical ability with a prime interest in growing their leadership skills aligning to our 4 Pillars: Safety – Quality – Efficiency – Customer Satisfaction. Qualifications

Education:
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, Clean Driving Record
The qualified individual will possess the following: Minimum 3 to 5 years professional infield hands on experience in Landscape Construction installation. Competent in operating heavy equipment (skid steer, mini-ex, loaders, etc.) Competent in operating truck and trailers with safe cargo securement and weight restrictions knowledge is required. Knowledge of landscape materials, tools and equipment is required. Site work knowledge and safe work practice is required. Experience with blue prints, site plans and elevation drawings is required. Experience supervising, coaching and training junior crew members. Experience in snow removal is an asset. Strong Interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to use LMN app (time tracking) to report job progress, materials and time is required. Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure. Must be able to adhere to deadlines. Must hold a valid G driver’s licence and a clean drivers abstract. Must be willing to work Saturdays and irregular hours on call 24/7 availability (winter only). Must be willing to work on-call 24/7 during the winter season. Must enjoy working in all weather and work with a high energy level. Qualifications: Secondary School Diploma Landscape Technician Certificate is an asset ICPI Certification is an asset Horticulture Technician Certificate is an asset Possess a Valid Class - G Drivers license with clean driving record is required Truck & Trailer experience is required DZ License in an asset First Aid & CPR is an asset Must be able to frequently lift 50lbs

Compensation

$26.00 to $32.00/hour
