Your Role in Our Team
As our Horticulture Specialist, you help to create and maintain vibrant, healthy landscapes environments. You apply technical expertise in horticultural management practices to promote sustainable landscape. Through quality workmanship and attention to detail, you support team operations, uphold operational standards, and deliver results that enhance client properties, outdoor environments, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
● Perform horticultural maintenance tasks including cleanups, weeding, pruning, mulching, planting, and turf care to enhance property appearance and ecological health.
● Support sustainable landscape practices through proper plant care, soil management, and environmentally responsible maintenance techniques.
● Execute garden and landscape improvement projects that enhance property quality and align with project specifications.
● Travel to customer properties throughout the workday to complete assigned tasks efficiently and in accordance with quality standards.
● Inspect and maintain tools, machinery, and work vehicles; report and address maintenance needs to ensure operational readiness.
● Complete work in accordance with WSIB standards and company safety policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
● Accurately complete and submit required paperwork and operational documentation on time to support project tracking and accountability.
● Communicate professionally with clients and team members to support clear expectations, positive service experiences, and effective collaboration.
● Participate in cross-training opportunities and support other departmental activities as needed to enhance team flexibility and operational success.

Qualifications
● Horticulture certification/diploma is an asset
● Knowledge of turf, plant material, and horticultural practices is an asset
● Ability to operate machinery and field equipment
● Customer service experience preferred
● Valid Class “G” driver’s license with clean driving record
● Strong communication and problem-solving skills
● Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions

Busy-Season Workload Expectations
Due to the seasonal nature of the business, workload and customer demand increase significantly during peak periods. Additional hours may be required to meet client expectations and ensure timely project delivery.

High School Diploma,, Apprentice Level I/II,, College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,
Skills & Professional Training

Compensation

$22 to $32/hour
