Gardener Crew Leader

Position Overview The Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader leads a small team focused on improving and maintaining high-quality landscapes. This role includes planting, pruning, garden bed improvements, and seasonal enhancements while ensuring plant health and overall landscape quality. The Crew Leader is responsible for delivering excellent workmanship and providing suggestions to help clients keep their gardens looking their best. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a landscape enhancement crew on job sites Install shrubs, perennials, and seasonal plantings Perform pruning to maintain plant health, structure, and appearance Prepare and improve garden beds including edging, soil preparation, and mulching Monitor plant health and identify potential issues Suggest plant improvements or garden enhancements to clients and management Maintain high standards of workmanship and care on client properties Train and support crew members in proper horticultural practices Ensure safe operation of equipment and vehicles Qualifications 3–5 years of landscaping or horticulture experience Strong plant identification skills (trees, shrubs, and perennials) Experience with pruning and garden care Leadership or crew supervision experience preferred Valid driver’s license Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions Skills Strong horticultural knowledge Leadership and communication skills Attention to detail and pride in quality work Ability to assess gardens and recommend improvements Why You’ll Love Working Here Competitive pay based on experience Supportive, team-focused environment where your leadership matters Paid company uniforms and PPE allowance Paid travel time between yard and job sites Opportunities for growth and skill-building, including sponsored training programs Focus on a healthy work/life balance Fun team events and social gatherings
