Lead by example, maintaining professionalism and respect while fostering a positive team environment.
Supervise and train crew members to ensure efficiency and quality in all tasks.
Communicate proactively with clients, anticipating needs and implementing solutions.
Maintain excellent knowledge of Ontario plants and their cultural requirements.
Perform advanced horticultural tasks, including hedge pruning, seasonal container design, and use of all gardening power tools.
Ensure all jobs and related paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
Uphold company policies and comply with all Health & Safety standards.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma,, College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,
Skills & Professional Training
Driver's License - G, GROW Supervisory Training
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in garden maintenance or horticultural certification.
Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of plant care and horticultural practices.
Proficiency in pruning, container design, and safe operation of gardening equipment.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical capability to perform horticultural tasks, including lifting, bending, and repetitive movements.
Compensation
$30 to $40/hour
