Lead Hand/Site Supervisor-Landscape Construction

Scenic Stone Landscape & Design Inc. is hiring an experienced Lead Hand / Senior Skilled Hardscape Technician to support high-end residential landscape construction projects across Burlington, Oakville, and surrounding areas. This role is for a skilled installer who can maintain production pace, uphold installation standards, and support crew direction on premium hardscape builds. We specialize in patios, driveways, retaining walls, poolscapes, steps, and structural outdoor living spaces. Quality and professionalism are expected on every project. Role Responsibilities: -Act as second-in-command on a 3 to 5 person landscape construction crew -Support daily workflow and crew productivity -Lead the crew when the Foreman is off-site or engaged -Install interlock pavers, natural stone, retaining walls, and structural features -Perform base preparation, grading, and compaction -Read and interpret plans and layouts -Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and quality standards -Report site progress and issues to the Foreman or management You are accountable for supporting workmanship quality, efficiency, and strong team performance on site. Minimum Qualifications: -3 to 5+ years hands-on hardscape or landscape construction experience -Strong installation experience in paver systems and retaining walls -Solid understanding of grading and base preparation -Experience operating skid steer and compact equipment -Ability to work from plans with minimal supervision -Demonstrated leadership ability on job sites -Valid driver’s license -CSA-approved safety boots -Minimum of 2 professional references Strong Assets: -Experience assisting with layout and elevation control -Ability to manage grade accuracy and support site measurements -Experience with complex or multi-tier hardscape builds -Proven ability to maintain crew productivity and workflow -Demonstrated safety awareness and job site organization -Experience mentoring junior crew members -Professional and respectful communication skills Apply with a resume and references.
