At Lindsay Landscape, we are looking for a skilled and hands-on Horticulturalist to lead a crew in delivering high-quality garden installation and maintenance services. This role combines technical horticultural knowledge with field leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on the ground alongside the team while making decisions related to plant health, layout, and execution standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 Lead and supervise a crew in daily horticultural and landscaping activities

 Plan and execute planting layouts, ensuring proper species selection, spacing, and long-term growth considerations

 Oversee soil preparation, grading, and installation of garden beds, sod, and plant material

 Monitor plant health and diagnose issues related to pests, diseases, and environmental stress

 Implement pest and disease control strategies using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles

 Direct pruning, shaping, and seasonal maintenance of shrubs and trees to maintain both health and aesthetics

 Ensure detailed garden maintenance, including weeding, edging, mulching, and purging of invasive species

 Maintain high standards of quality control and attention to detail across all job sites

 Train and guide crew members on proper horticultural techniques and safe equipment use

 Operate and oversee the use of landscaping equipment and tools

 Communicate with management regarding site conditions, client needs, and project progress
