Junior Horticulturist

At Oakridge Landscape Contractors, we’ve been building and maintaining landscapes across Southern Ontario for over 30 years. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Junior Horticulturist who’s eager to grow their skills, build plant knowledge, and develop under experienced leadership.

What the role looks like:

This is a hands-on, learning-focused role where you’ll support plant health and installation while developing your horticultural expertise in the field.

Learn the Craft: Assist with planting, pruning, and general plant care across job sites.

Plant Watch: Help monitor plant health and identify early signs of pests, disease, or stress.

Quality First: Support proper plant handling, installation, and transport.

Plan Ahead: Review and tag nursery stock for upcoming jobs.

Precision Care: Apply fertilizers and treatments in line with industry standards.

Team Support: Work closely with the Senior Horticultural Specialist and crews.

Hands-On Help: Step in on installs and maintenance when needed.

What we’re looking for:

1-2 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, or similar work.

Basic plant knowledge and a strong willingness to learn.

Landscape Exterminator (Spray) License – asset.

Valid driver’s license.

Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.

Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
