Architectural Engineering Support Representative
Job Purpose
The Architectural Engineering Support Representative is a key position supporting our strategic goal to establish OAKS as a leader in the ICIM Market (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, Municipal) for Landscape Products. The Architectural Engineering Support Representative will work closely with our Sales and Marketing team to achieve commercial market success including promotion, specification and technical and design support of Oaks Pavers, Walls and Enviro products. The Architectural Engineering Support Representative provides technical and promotional support from start to finish on commercial projects targeting engineers, architects, municipalities, contractors and specifiers to drive the specification and sales of Oaks products in ICIM project applications. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Commercial Programs – drive the development of technical/design programs to support the design professional community and specification of Oaks products (i.e. CAD drawings, Revit or Sketchup, Vespa software, site specific design, product specifications).
• Product Development – participate and contribute as a member of the Landscape Products Development Team and support the market success of new products. Provide input towards product line development based on market trends. Primary focus will be on permeable pavers, commercial pavers and retaining wall systems.
• Technical Sales – become a resource for specifiers by educating them on the benefits of, and unique applications using, a given product.
• Commercial Projects - Actively prospect commercial project opportunities, develop contact relationships with Builder / Owners / Cities and Municipalities to drive specification of Oaks Pavers, Walls and Enviro Products. Use D365 CRM system to manage these activities.
• Contacts - Maintain a complete and current list of contacts of Engineers, Landscape Architects, Architects, Specifiers, Municipal Specifiers and Design/Build. Use D365 CRM system to manage these activities and opportunities.
• Commercial Sales Team - Work closely with the Brampton Brick Architectural/ICI Reps to identify to capture commercial opportunities for all products (i.e. Masonry and Landscape) to help position Brampton Brick Limited as a provider of commercial site solutions.
• Industry Involvement - Actively participate in local and national professional associations
• Planning & Budgeting – Participate in forecasting, budgeting and planning strategies. Evaluate competitive market arena to prepare commercial sales strategies. Project, track and evaluate commercial project sales. Review and evaluate monthly and yearly sales trends.
• Technical Support – work closely with the Architectural Designer position to develop and generate site specific AutoCAD drawings and take off’s for projects.
• Expand the available technical resource and digital design tools that simplify the use/promotion of, and in turn promote the specification/sale of, Oaks Products by our customers including design professionals (engineers, architects, landscape architects), design-build firms, developers, municipalities, dealers / distributors and contractors.
• Lead identification – use various forms of social media (e.g. Internet websites, Google, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo) and project directories (e.g. Construct Connect) to identify opportunities and contacts in the Hardscape industry.
• Other sales related duties may be required as called upon.
Qualifications / Experience
• University or College education
• Experience in AutoCAD and BIM
• Three-five years hardscape / construction industry experience preferable.
• Existing CMHA certification an asset.
• Knowledge of the construction industry.
• Excellent personal interaction, communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivated, able to effectively work with minimal supervision.
• Computer proficiency using MS Word, Excel, D360, Outlook, PowerPoint. AutoCAD is an asset.
• Willingness to travel.
Working Conditions
Office work can be conducted from a home office; there is no need to report to one of the Oaks/Brampton facilities daily. Occasional travel to project sites where realistic, as well as to Oaks/Brampton Brick offices and manufacturing facilities for meetings, is to be expected.
You will be required to use your personal vehicle for work related activities, mileage will be provided.
Provide technical support in our areas of sales throughout Canada and the U.S.
Physical Requirements
• Able to carry samples to customers.

Qualifications
- College/Technical Training or Trades Certificate,
- University Degree,
- Postgraduate Education,
- Driver's License - G2
- Driver's License - G
Experience working with Retaining Wall or design software is a bonus.
Previous experience with installing Landscaping products like Walls or Pavers would be helpful as well.
