Job Description
At Lindsay Landscape, we are looking for a reliable and experienced AZ Driver / Equipment Operator to support our construction, water services, rentals, and winter operations teams. This role involves transporting heavy equipment and materials, operating commercial vehicles, assisting with snow operations, and supporting field crews when trucking demands are lower.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically aware, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment across multiple seasons. Strong towing and heavy hauling experience is essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma,
- Driver's License - AZ
Transport heavy equipment, machinery, and materials using float trailers and heavy-duty trucks
Safely tow heavy trailers and PUP trailers in compliance with provincial regulations and company standards
Operate AZ-class trucks for construction, hauling, and seasonal operations
Operate salt trucks during winter maintenance operations
Support snow removal operations through plowing and equipment operation as required
Assist with loading, securing, and unloading equipment and materials
Operate loaders, skid steers, tractors, and other equipment as needed
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle inspection records
Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely
Maintain clean and organized vehicles and equipment
Support landscaping, construction, or maintenance crews during slower trucking periods or half loads
Follow all company safety procedures, Ministry of Transportation regulations, and site-specific requirements
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding schedules, equipment issues, and operational needs
Knowledge or experience operating water trucks for road flushing is considered an asset
Valid AZ Driver’s License
Clean driving abstract
Proven experience towing heavy trailers and PUP trailers (required)
Experience floating heavy equipment and machinery
Comfortable operating equipment and supporting snow operations
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including winter operations
Strong understanding of vehicle safety and load securement procedures
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Willingness to assist crews outside of driving responsibilities when required
Experience with water trucks for road flushing is an asset but not required.
Compensation
28$ to 34$ per hour depending on experience
Additional AZ premium of $2 to $4 per hour when operating AZ-class vehicles.
Higher wage opportunities available during winter operations.
