Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Nursery Farm Maintenance Worker to support daily operations at our nursery farm. This seasonal full-time role involves outdoor physical work, general farm and nursery maintenance, equipment support, lawn mowing, trimming, and assisting with the care and movement of plant material.

The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, is dependable, and is comfortable working long hours during the busy season.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general nursery and farm maintenance duties.

• Assist with planting, watering, pruning, weeding, and caring for trees, shrubs, and other plant material.

• Complete lawn mowing, trimming, and general grounds maintenance.

• Load, unload, move, and organize nursery stock and supplies.

• Maintain clean and safe work areas, fields, yards, and equipment storage areas.

• Operate basic tools and equipment as required.

• Assist with irrigation, field preparation, and seasonal farm tasks.

• Support team members with daily production, maintenance, and cleanup duties.

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Must provide a clean driver’s abstract.

• Ability to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.

• Willingness to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in horticulture, nursery work, landscaping, farming, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with lawn mowing, trimming, grounds maintenance, or operating landscape equipment is considered an asset.

• Experience operating farm, nursery, or landscape equipment is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

• Seasonal full-time position.

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

• Extended hours may be required during peak season.

• Physically active role requiring stamina and attention to safety.

Qualifications

Education:
  • High School Diploma,

  • Driver's License - G
  • Clean Driving Record

Compensation

$19.20 to $22.00/hour
