Job Description

How You’ll Fit in

The Landscape Labourer reports to the Operations Manager and works alongside Foremen, Lead Hands, and experienced crew members to help deliver exceptional outdoor spaces. This role supports a variety of projects across landscape construction, landscape maintenance, and landscape carpentry, providing opportunities to develop skills in multiple areas of the business.

Whether installing new landscapes, maintaining existing properties, or assisting with outdoor carpentry projects, you'll take pride in producing high-quality work while following Salisbury's standards for safety, craftsmanship, and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist Foremen and Lead Hands with landscape construction, maintenance, and carpentry projects.

Install trees, shrubs, perennials, sod, mulch, decorative rock, and other landscape materials.

Perform lawn mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, weeding, spring and fall cleanups, and general property maintenance.

Assist with the construction of fences, decks, pergolas, retaining walls, and other landscape carpentry projects.

Load, unload, transport, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.

Operate hand tools and safely use landscape equipment as trained.

Dig, grade, shovel, wheelbarrow, and move soil, rock, and other materials.

Assist with installation, drainage, and site preparation.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.

Follow all Salisbury safety procedures and wear required PPE.

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with homeowners and clients.

Support other departments and projects as required during seasonal workloads.

Qualifications

Education:
Skills & Professional Training
  • Driver's License - AZ
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Skid Steer

Previous experience in landscaping, maintenance, construction, or carpentry

Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 50 lbs.

Valid Class 5 driver's license is considered required

Reliable, dependable, and punctual.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.

Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.
