Job Description

Landscape Construction Labourer – Patios, Walls, Decks & More

New Earth Landscaping

$28–$35/hour + Overtime Pay

Full-Time | Year-Round Work (Snow Removal in Winter)

IMPORTANT

This is NOT a lawn maintenance position.

Please only apply if you have hands-on landscape construction experience — patios, retaining walls, decks, fences, driveways, grading, or planting.

About the Role

New Earth Landscaping is growing, and we're looking for experienced Landscape Construction Labourers to join our crew.

We build premium outdoor spaces — retaining walls, paver patios, walkways, decks, fences, and full driveway and yard projects. We're not a quick, cheap-build company. We care about the quality of what we put our name on, and about the people who build it with us.

What You'll Be Building

Paver patios and walkways

Retaining walls (base prep, drainage, geogrid, proper install)

Decks and fences

Driveways

Grading and base preparation

Tree, shrub, and planting installs

Full yard landscape remodels

What We're Looking For

You are someone who:

Has hands-on experience in landscape or outdoor construction

Can execute your work with confidence and attention to detail

Can read basic plans and layouts and build accurately from them

Communicates professionally with the crew and with clients on-site

Takes ownership, solves problems, and keeps a job moving

Works safely, efficiently, and with high standards

Strong performers have real opportunity to grow into a Crew Lead or Project Manager role over time — but this posting is about finding solid, experienced hands first.

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of a crew on landscape construction projects

Help execute builds to a high standard from start to finish

Communicate with clients on-site in a professional manner

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite

Help with tools, equipment, and daily jobsite needs

Update management on job progress, materials, and issues

Required Experience / Skills

Proven experience in landscape or outdoor construction (not lawn maintenance)

Experience with any of: paver patios, retaining walls, decks, fences, grading, or planting

High attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Valid driver's licence

Reliable personal vehicle (must be able to get to and from job sites)

Equipment Experience (Preferred, Not Required)

Skid steer

Plate compactor / jumping jack

Cut-off saws / hardscape saws

Laser level / layout tools

Standard hardscape and construction tools

What We Offer

$28–$40/hour (based on experience and execution ability)

Overtime pay

Full-time, year-round work (landscape construction season + snow removal in winter)

Real opportunity to grow into a Crew Lead or Project Manager role

A company culture that genuinely cares about employees on and off the job

High-quality, premium projects — not rushed, low-standard jobs

Who Will Do Well Here

Cares about details and takes pride in clean, high-end work

Wants long-term growth with a company that's actively growing

Enjoys building premium outdoor spaces as part of a strong team
