Position Summary

Walsh Property Service is looking for a reliable, hardworking and versatile team member to join our year-round property services operation.

This is a hands-on, multi-service position. The successful candidate must be willing to assist wherever needed and perform a wide variety of duties based on the season, workload and daily operational requirements.

Simply put: if it needs to be done to maintain, repair, clean or improve a property, you may be asked to help get it done.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Landscape maintenance and property cleanup

• Grass cutting, trimming and blowing

• Garden and flower bed maintenance

• Litter and garbage collection

• Spring and fall cleanups

• Mulch, soil and sod installation

• Interlock and landscape construction

• Asphalt repairs and maintenance

• Concrete repairs and related work

• Catch basin and drainage repairs

• Crack sealing and pavement maintenance

• Parking lot line painting

• Power washing and property cleaning

• Parking lot and roadway sweeping

• Mini-bin delivery, pickup and waste handling

• Loading and unloading trucks, trailers and equipment

• Equipment and attachment preparation

• Shop and yard cleanup and organization

• Basic equipment maintenance and cleaning

• Snow plowing

• Sidewalk snow clearing and shovelling

• Salting and de-icing

• Operating snow blowers and sidewalk equipment

• Operating trucks, tractors, loaders, skid steers and other equipment when qualified

• Assisting with emergency and after-hours property services

• Performing other duties as required to support the company, our clients and the rest of the team

• Is willing to work longer or irregular hours when weather and operations require it

• Is willing to assist outside their normal duties when the team needs help

Driver’s Licence & Equipment Experience

A valid driver’s licence with a clean or reasonably acceptable driving record is an asset.

Experience operating trucks, trailers, tractors, loaders, skid steers, snow equipment or other commercial equipment is an asset but is not required for every position.

Training can be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates reliability, responsibility and a willingness to learn.

Year-Round Employment

Walsh Property Service operates throughout the year. Duties change with the seasons, allowing team members to gain experience across numerous areas of the property maintenance industry.

Summer work can include landscaping, construction, asphalt, concrete, sweeping, cleaning and property maintenance.

Winter work includes snow and ice management, plowing, salting, shovelling, equipment operation and storm response.

Our Expectation

We are looking for team players, not people interested in doing only one specific task.

Every employee is expected to contribute to the overall operation. Some days may involve landscaping, another day asphalt repairs, another day cleaning a property, delivering bins, preparing equipment or responding to a snowstorm.

If there is work that needs to be done safely and you are capable and trained to perform it, we expect everyone to work together and get the job done.
