Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant who truly understands our industry—someone with a background in office management or administration within landscaping, construction, nurseries, or related green trades. You will be the organizational backbone of our operations, helping streamline day-to-day office tasks, client communications, scheduling, and bookkeeping support so our field crews can focus on the land.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day administrative operations, general correspondence, and phone/email inquiries.

Coordinate client communications, scheduling, and project tracking.

Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, invoicing, payroll preparation, and expense tracking.

Handle purchasing, vendor coordination, and supply chain logistics for the landscape firm.

Maintain digital filing systems, project folders, and operational records.

Support management with ad-hoc organizational or planning tasks as the business grows.

Qualifications

Education:
  • High School Diploma,
Skills & Professional Training

Industry Experience: Proven administrative experience specifically within landscaping, construction, horticulture, or a similar trade/environmental sector.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple moving parts.

Proficient with modern office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, cloud-based accounting/invoicing tools).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-friendly demeanor.

Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working in a small, dynamic environment.

Reliable transportation to our Omemee farm location (with flexibility for remote/hybrid work arrangements once training is complete).

Compensation

$25 to $28/hour
