Reporting to the Grounds Utility Foreman and Turfcare Technician Charge Hand in the Grounds Maintenance Department, the Turf Care Technician is responsible for maintaining 89 irrigated and non-irrigated sports fields in Surrey and White Rock. The incumbent will carry out and assist in coordinating: irrigation, topdressing, over-seeding, aerating, fertilizing, routine repair and mowing. Work involves physical labour, routine inspection, record keeping and report writing. Other duties include participation in construction and renovation projects as well as the supervision and training of grounds staff.

This is a union position that offers an hourly wage rate of $30.45, plus a liberal benefit package that includes municipal pension plan, health, vacation and sick benefits.
