Reporting to the Grounds Foreman and Turf Care Technician Charge Hand in the Grounds Department, the Turf Care Technician is responsible for maintaining 89 irrigated and non-irrigated sports fields in Surrey and White Rock. The incumbent will carry out and assist in coordinating: irrigation, topdressing, over-seeding, aerating, fertilizing, routine repair and mowing. Work involves physical labour, routine inspection, record keeping and report writing. Other duties include participation in construction and renovation projects as well as the supervision and training of Grounds staff.

This is a unionized position that offers as 37.5 hour work week, with an hourly wage rate of $33.12, plus a liberal benefit package, including pension, health, vacation and sick benefits.
