We are a team of dynamic, friendly, and motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining exceptional outdoor spaces for an amazing group of high-end residential and commercial clients across Ottawa. Our focus is in professional property maintenance.
We’re looking for energetic, fun and hard-working team players to join our family. We will teach you all the skills and techniques necessary to do a great job. Past experience is certainly an asset but is not required. If you’re able and willing to learn, we are able and willing to train you!
Our season runs from April to December. Team Leaders meet every day at the shop in Carlsbad Springs and drive company vehicles from there to Saint Laurent Shopping Centre to meet their crew.
Duties include:
- Managing and directing a team of 2-3 gardeners to create and maintain high-end landscapes
- Driving the company vehicle to job sites and documenting work notes using tablets
- Interacting with clients using the highest standard of client service
- Creating a positive and friendly team atmosphere
- Motivating and engaging the team at a professional and productive work pace
- Taking pride in workmanship and ensuring top quality services are delivered
- Ensuring team and client safety by following company safety policies and procedures
- Training industry horticultural best practices to the team as required
Successful candidates will:
- Demonstrate the ability to lead teams, problem solve and manage time effectively
- Have a friendly disposition and a positive attitude
- Demonstrate a desire to grow with the company and advance their career with us
- Be dependable, accountable and an effective communicator
- Be capable to use technology /apps as required to accurately report daily activities
- Have an Ontario Drivers Full G License with a clean abstract
- Enjoy working outdoors in a team setting
- Take pride in the work they do for their clients and demonstrate professionalism
- Have the ability to work in a fast paced job requiring physical fitness
- Have initiative and willingness to work and bring new ideas to the table
- Enjoy customer service and attending to customers' needs
- Be willing to work full-time; five days a week and some Saturdays in Spring and Fall
